["The Soup" Project]
The theme of the project is “the mind’s saunter of the urban dweller facing its evolving environment”. Saunter, but also wandering, and psychological drift are appropriate words to describe the state of a person who does not understand what is happening around him or her, and who is confronted to events beyond his or her comprehension. This psychological state seems to be characterized by micro-decompensation behaviors justified through common daily activities. Today, facing a seemingly atrophied notion of society, the individual takes precedence over the group. The person is under constant strains from the environment he or she has created for himself or herself, wherever it is at work or in his or her habitat. This daily life which supposedly plays the role of a cocoon sustains common unperceivable intrusions, ultimately leaving their marks, bringing the person to the verge of possible breaking points. Those behaviors might be the pointers to a specific latency period announcing a renewal of consciousness, but they also could be ordinary premonitory signs to a global disengagement.
["Untitled" series]
The series “Untitled” is the result of a collaboration with Claire Hugonnet, Who is a photographer from Toulouse. Together we made an attempt to explore such behaviours within a man/woman relation as a couple using strong stereotypes firmly established within our society. It is composed of 21 videos from 8 to 2 mn in length forming a single piece.
